KUALA LUMPUR — Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said on Sunday that a US citizen had retested positively for coronavirus after arriving on a flight from Cambodia.
Cambodia’s Health Ministry asked its Malaysian counterpart to retest the 83 year old woman after the positive diagnosis was first announced on Saturday, marking Malaysia’s 22nd coranavirus infection.
The woman flew to Malaysia on Friday along with 144 others who were passengers on a cruise ship that was permitted to dock in Cambodia’s port city of Sihanoukville on Thursday. The vessel was carrying 1,455 passengers and had spent two weeks at sea after being denied entry by five countries.
Meanwhile Singapore’s Health Ministry announced three new coronavirus diagnoses on Sunday, taking the city-state’s total to 75. The new cases include a serviceman in the Singapore Air Force.Show
